The 2020 Texas Democratic Party Convention PRE-REGISTRATION CLOSED MARCH 19TH. Anyone who PRE-REGISTERED to participate in the Precinct/County Convention in Comal County and who stated they want to be a delegate to the Texas State Convention, have been automatically listed as a delegate to the State convention. Because of safety and health concerns about the threat of coronavirus, delegates were selected from those who PRE-REGISTERED for the Convention (scroll down for more information).

The Comal County Democratic Party CANCELLED ANY IN-PERSON MEETINGS FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE, INCLUDING THE CONVENTION that was scheduled for 9AM on Saturday March 21st at the Oak Run Middle School. Our primary concern is the health, safety and well-being of our community. 

If you PRE-REGISTERED (Pre-Registration closed March 19th) for the Comal County Precinct/County Convention and indicated you want to be a delegate to the State Convention, you are automatically listed as a delegate to the State Convention. You will be contacted at a later date about the State Convention. Please be patient.

Delegates were selected from those who PRE-REGISTERED for the Convention because we are taking precautions to prevent exposure to coronavirus. Thank you for your cooperation, and your patience.

Thursday-Saturday, June 4-6, 2020Online, all Digital Conference. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE. There will be a State Democratic Convention in June. The Texas Democratic Party will be shifting the convention to an innovative, digital space, hosting the largest online convention and virtual experience in Democratic Party history. The State Democratic Executive Committee (SDEC) is adopting emergency rules to be able to hold the Convention online. Processes are being written for adoption by the SDEC in April. Information will be provided here as we learn more.

There were no resolutions submitted from Comal County.  Although, 300 resolutions were submitted online from across Texas.

PLEASE NOTE:  The Resolution Form has been reopened for any resolutions that didn’t meet the March 19th Pre-Registration deadline. Any Resolutions may now be submitted on the original Resolution Form:

Because the Comal County Democratic Party held a pro forma convention due to COVID-10 health concerns, all resolutions submitted on the Resolution Form will be referred directly to the Democratic State Convention Resolution/Platform Committees.
